Stemma Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Stemma application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Stemma is a personal cooking assistant that allows you to organize recipes, manage your pantry, create shopping lists, and plan meals. The App offers both free and paid subscription features.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Stemma Pro

Stemma offers a paid subscription ("Stemma Pro") that unlocks additional features including AI-powered recipe imports, cloud sync, AI attribute tagging, and Live Activities.

• Free Trial: New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to Pro features.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Prices are displayed in the App before purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within Stemma, including recipes, pantry items, shopping lists, and uploaded images. By using the App, you grant Stemma a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.

6. AI-Powered Features

Stemma uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to power features such as recipe parsing, attribute suggestions, and meal recommendations. AI-generated content is provided as-is and may not always be accurate. You should review AI suggestions before relying on them, especially for dietary or allergy-related information.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the source code of the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others.

8. Intellectual Property

The Stemma name, logo, visual design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Stemma. You may not use our trademarks, branding, or content without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Stemma does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stemma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our active databases in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
