Stemma ("we," "us," or "our") cares deeply about keeping your personal information ("Personal Data") safe. This
Privacy Notice explains what we do with your Personal Data, how we protect it, and your rights under applicable
privacy laws. This Notice covers the Stemma mobile application and related services.

We Don’t Sell Your Data: We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.
No Cross-Behavioral Advertising: We do not share your data for cross-behavioral
advertising purposes.
You Have Control: You can request to delete or export your data directly within the app
or by contacting support.
We Use AI: We use artificial intelligence services provided by Google (Gemini) to help
you organize recipes, predict aisles, and parse ingredients. Your data is processed securely for these
features.
What This Notice Covers
This Privacy Notice covers your interactions with:
The Stemma App: When you manage your recipes, pantry, and shopping lists.
Our Website: If applicable, for support or information.
Service Providers (Third Parties)
We use trusted third-party providers to help us operate Stemma. Below is a list of parties that may process your
data:
On-device formatting: The open-source react-native-markdown-renderer library formats assistant
replies on your device. This library does not send your chat text to its author or another service.
Infrastructure & Hosting
Google LLC (USA): We use Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Firestore, Storage) to host the
application, store your recipes and images, and manage accounts.
Firebase (USA): Used for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and real-time database
syncing. Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) receives signup and trial events and subscription purchase
events, associated with a pseudonymous account identifier and app-instance identifier, to help us measure
account creation, paid conversions, and subscription revenue. These analytics events do not include your
name, email address, recipes, or other content you create.
Artificial Intelligence
Google LLC (USA): We use Google Gemini models to provide intelligent features like recipe
parsing, smart attribute suggestion, and pantry organization.
Performance & Stability
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) (USA): We use Sentry to capture crash reports and error
logs to improve app stability. This may include device information and stack traces but attempts to scrub
personal identifiers.
Integrations
OpenFoodFacts (France): We query the OpenFoodFacts database to provide product information
when you scan barcodes. We send the barcode you scan to their servers to retrieve product details. We do not
currently send your personal account data to them.
Authentication
Apple Inc. (USA): If you sign in with Apple.
Google LLC (USA): If you sign in with Google.
Subscription Management
RevenueCat, Inc. (USA): We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases.
RevenueCat processes your subscription status, purchase receipts, and device identifiers to verify and
maintain your subscription. We also use RevenueCat's Google Analytics integration to send subscription
lifecycle events, product and transaction identifiers, payment amounts and currency, and pseudonymous
account and app-instance identifiers to Firebase Analytics. They do not have access to your recipe or
content data.
What Personal Data We Collect
Account Information
Identifiers: Name, Email address, User ID.
Usage: Account creation date, subscription status (if applicable).
Content You Create
Recipe Data: Recipes you import, write, or modify.
Pantry & Shopping Lists: Items you add to your lists.
Images: Photos of food or recipes you upload.
Receipts and Purchase History: Receipt photos or documents you import, and the purchase
details read from them (store, date, items, quantities and prices).
Usage Data: How you interact with the app (e.g., features used), collected via Firebase
Analytics to help us improve Stemma.
Device Information
Technical Data: Device model, OS version, IP address (for security and logging), and crash
reports.
How We Use Your Data
We process your Personal Data to:
Provide the Service: Storing your recipes, syncing across devices, and enabling AI
features.
Improve Stemma: Analyzing usage patterns to fix bugs and build better features.
Communicate: Sending you important updates about your account or the app.
Anonymous Price Statistics
By default, the prices from purchases you import are included, without your name, email address or user ID, in
aggregated price statistics that show what products typically cost. A price is only included for a
recognised product and includes the product, the price paid, the package size, the purchase date and the
store's retailer and area. You can turn this off at any time in Settings. When you turn it off, your
existing and future purchase prices are no longer included in these statistics; your own purchase history is
kept.
Data Retention
We keep your Personal Data for as long as your account exists.
Account Deletion: You can request full account deletion via the app settings. Upon
deletion, your personal data is removed from our active databases. Backups may retain data for a limited
period before being overwritten.
Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have specific rights:
Right to Access: Request a copy of your data.
Right to Deletion: Request we delete your data.
Right to Correction: specific update of inaccurate data.

Children's Privacy
Stemma is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
