We Use AI: We use artificial intelligence services provided by Google (Gemini) to help
you organize recipes, predict aisles, and parse ingredients. Your data is processed securely for these
features.

Service Providers (Third Parties)
We use trusted third-party providers to help us operate Stemma. Below is a list of parties that may process your
data:
Infrastructure & Hosting
Google LLC (USA): We use Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Firestore, Storage) to host the
application, store your recipes and images, and manage accounts.
Firebase (USA): Used for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and real-time database
syncing.
Artificial Intelligence
Google LLC (USA): We use Google Gemini models to provide intelligent features like recipe
parsing, smart attribute suggestion, and pantry organization.
Performance & Stability
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) (USA): We use Sentry to capture crash reports and error
logs to improve app stability. This may include device information and stack traces but attempts to scrub
personal identifiers.
Integrations
OpenFoodFacts (France): We query the OpenFoodFacts database to provide product information
when you scan barcodes. We send the barcode you scan to their servers to retrieve product details. We do not
currently send your personal account data to them.
Authentication
Apple Inc. (USA): If you sign in with Apple.
Google LLC (USA): If you sign in with Google.
Subscription Management
RevenueCat, Inc. (USA): We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases.
RevenueCat processes your subscription status, purchase receipts, and device identifiers to verify and
maintain your subscription. They do not have access to your recipe or content data.
What Personal Data We Collect
Account Information
Identifiers: Name, Email address, User ID.
Usage: Account creation date, subscription status (if applicable).
Content You Create
Recipe Data: Recipes you import, write, or modify.
Pantry & Shopping Lists: Items you add to your lists.
Images: Photos of food or recipes you upload.
Usage Data: How you interact with the app (e.g., features used), collected via Firebase
Analytics to help us improve Stemma.
Device Information
Technical Data: Device model, OS version, IP address (for security and logging), and crash
reports.
How We Use Your Data
We process your Personal Data to:
Provide the Service: Storing your recipes, syncing across devices, and enabling AI
features.
Improve Stemma: Analyzing usage patterns to fix bugs and build better features.
Communicate: Sending you important updates about your account or the app.
Data Retention
We keep your Personal Data for as long as your account exists.
Account Deletion: You can request full account deletion via the app settings. Upon
deletion, your personal data is removed from our active databases. Backups may retain data for a limited
period before being overwritten.
